UK/Europe Sun SPOT Symposium

The Sun SPOT project (http://www.sunspotworld.com) is a research project by Sun Microsystems Laboratories started in 2005. The project's mission is to develop a flexible and easy-to-use platform for exploring wireless sensor networks.

This symposium is an opportunity for Sun SPOT owners, developers and researchers, and others interested in the wider field of wireless sensor networks, to get together to share knowledge and experiences. Over the course of one day attendees will be able to

Attendance at this event is completely FREE. Pre-registration is required.

The success of this symposium will be due to the quality of the individual contributions. The organisers are keen to hear from anyone who would like to present a 45 minute experience report about their work with Sun SPOTs, hopefully to include a demonstration, or is interested in running any other kind of session. The deadline for session proposals is 30th January 2009.

The Organisers

The joint chairs are Dave Cleal and John Daniels, two original members of the team that developed the SunSPOTs. This symposium is organised with the help and support of the SPA specialist group of the BCS and Sun Microsystems Laboratories, home of the Sun SPOT project.
